At Haeggquist & Eck, we consider it our imperative as attorneys and advocates to be a voice for the aggrieved. It’s a cornerstone of our mission, and now more than ever, we are committed to doing all we can, both professionally and personally, to advancing the underrepresented: women, the disabled, and the elderly; refugees, asylum-seekers, and immigrants; our LGBTQ brothers and sisters; and Muslims, Christians, Jews, and atheists and people of every creed, religion, ethnicity, and color between.
Every member of our team is working to make San Diego better. And to commemorate that, we give every HAE employee $1,000 a year to donate to the charity of their choice. Recipients include Veterans Village of San Diego; youth arts program A Reason To Survive; the San Diego LGBT Community Center; UCSD Moores Cancer Center; Casa Cornelia Law Center, which provides pro bono humanitarian legal representation in immigration matters; and Passion4Kids, which allocates dollars to children in desperate situations.
We believe in paying things forward. We prove that commitment by our actions: through individual volunteer work, through firm-wide philanthropic initiatives, and through partnerships with and support of organizations that are making a real difference in advancing justice, fairness, and equality in California and beyond.
