Haeggquist & Eck, LLP Files Class Action Lawsuit for Business Interruption Insurance Coverage on Behalf of Policyholders

The Coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic has affected not only the health and safety of millions of people, but has forced thousands of small, medium, and large businesses to shut their doors, causing substantial financial loss. Many businesses have paid for insurance policies that should provide “business interruption coverage” for their losses. However, even though these businesses have been faithfully paying their premiums for years, insurance companies are categorically denying their claims.

On May 14, 2020, Haeggquist & Eck, LLP filed a class action in the Southern District of California against Farmers Insurance on behalf of Pappy’s Barber Shop and all Famers’ policyholders for business interruption insurance coverage.  We are investigating, and will file additional class action lawsuits against additional insurance companies, seeking justice on behalf of these businesses.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

If you have a commercial property insurance policy, you may have business interruption insurance.  You may have a claim for coverage even if you have a “virus exclusion” in your policy, or your insurer cites other reasons for denying coverage.

We offer free legal consultations and contingency fee representation — you only pay us when we recover compensation for you and/or your business.
